Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- A salesman was killed and several others injured Saturday afternoon in a rooftop collapse of Partex Furniture's pavilion in Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) at Sher-e-Banglanagar in the capital Dhaka.
A portion of the rooftop of Partex Furniture pavilion collapsed around 2.45pm killing a salesman Rony and injuring few others, a local police official said.
Firemen stationed in the DITF premises started the recovery works right after the incident and sent the injured to the nearby hospitals.
Police and DITF authority suspects that poor structure and heavily crammed third and fourth floors of the building with goods were the reasons behind the accident.
