US Adviser for Burma Patrick Murphy arrives in Bangladesh Tuesday

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Senior US Advisor for Burma W Patrick Murphy arrives in the capital Dhaka on a two-day visit on Tuesday to discuss the current issues with international partners, including senior government officials and civil society groups.
Murphy will also visit Naypyitaw, Myanmar and Tokyo, Japan to discuss reforms and other developments in Burma. 
Murphy will be in Dhaka on March 12-13; in Rangoon, Naypyitaw, and other Myanmar cities on March 13-16; and in Tokyo on March 17-18, according to a media note of the US Department of State. 
He will discuss in particular US policies, conflict in Rakhine and Kachin States, and international support, including responsible investment, to strengthen reform and reconciliation efforts.
