New Delhi, India (BBN)- India confirmed 13 more cases of the deadly Influenza A (H1N1) virus on Sunday, taking the total cases to 297, the health ministry said.
Of the 13 cases that tested positive for swine flu, three came from each New Delhi and Gurgaon, two from each Chandigarh and Hyderabad and one each from Punjab, kerala and Pune, a health ministry press statement said.
So far, 1549 people have been tested, of which 297 have tested positive for Influenza A (H1N1), 449 out of the 1549 tested have been identified through entry screening, 198 people through contact tracing and the rest were self reported, according to the statement.
"Of the 297 positive cases, 181 have been discharged." The remainder are undergoing treatment at a health facility.
