New Delhi, India (BBN)- India confirmed 29 more cases of the deadly Influenza A (H1N1) virus on Thursday, taking the total cases to 371, the health ministry said.
Of the 29 cases that tested positive for swine flu, seven came from New Delhi, six from Bangalore, four from each Chennai and Pune, three from Hyderabad, two from each Trivandrum and Goaeach and one from Coimbatore, according to a health ministry press statement.
So far, 1774 people have been tested, of which 371 have tested positive for Influenza A (H1N1), 539 out of the 1774 tested have been identified through entry screening, 271 people through contact tracing and the rest were self reported, the statement added.
"Of the 371 positive cases, 237 have been discharged," the statement said, adding that the remainders are undergoing treatment at a health facility.
