Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding regarding e-GP (Electronic Government Procurement) system with the Central Procurement Technical Unit (CPTU), Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED), Ministry of Planning.

Under this Memorandum, Shahjalal Islami Bank Ltd. will provide e-GP (Electronic Government Procurement) service within the territorial jurisdiction of the Bank, a press statement said.

CPTU of the Ministry will provide e- GP Portal Dashboard and training to nominated focal persons of the Bank for the use of payment system under e- GP. On the other hand, CPTU Ministry of Planning will publish the names of the Bank in e-GP portal link to the Bank as the e-payment service provider.

Managing Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank Ltd. Mr. Md. Abdur Rahman Sarker and Director General of Central Procurement Technical Unit (CPTU), Ministry of Planning Mr. Amulya Kumar Debnath signed the MOU on behalf of their respective organisation.

In the MoU ceremony Mr. Mohammad Mejbahuddin, Secretary of Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED) Ministry of Planning was present as chief guest.

Among Others, Deputy Managing Directors of Shahjalal Islami Bank Ltd. Mr. Md. Abdul Jabber Chowdhury, Mr. Md. Shafiul Azam and Head of IT of the Bank Mr. Md. Rafiqul Islam was present along with the officials of the both organisations.
