Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– Abdur Rahman Sarker has joined Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) as Managing Director recently.
Prior to his joining, he was the Managing Director of National Bank Limited.
Mr. Sarker is a career banker who joined Janata Bank as Probationary Officer in 1973. He served there as Branch Managers and other senior positions at Head Office.
Later on, he joined National Bank Limited in May, 1985 and served there upto November 25, 2010 in different capacities and lastly as Managing Director.
Mr. Sarker obtained Masters Degree with Honours in Economics from Rajshahi University.
He received trainings in Banking and Finance at home and abroad and attended many seminars, workshops and symposium relating to Banking and Finance.
