Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-ACI Limited, a pharmaceutical company, dominated the week’s top turnover chart on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) last week that ended on Wednesday.

A total of 1.56 million shares worth BDT 759.82 million changing hands last week.

Daily average turnover was BDT 189.96 million.

Each share of the company closed at BDT 511.5 on the DSE, registering an increase of 11.32 percent over the week, according to the DSE website.

The company has reported consolidated net profit after tax (excluding non-controlling interests) BDT 249.01 million with consolidated EPS of BDT 7.24 for the period of nine months (Jan’14 to Sep’14) ended on 30.09.2014 as against BDT 33.83 million and BDT 0.99 respectively for the same period of the previous year.

Of the total shares, sponsor/directors held by 35.12 percent, institutions 37.79 percent while rest of 27.09 percent held by public, according to DSE web site.

After ACI Ltd, the other turnover leaders were – Lafarge Surma Cement BDT 518.17 million, SPCL BDT 503.80 million, GP BDT 492.76 million, ACI Formulations BDT 478.36 million.

Newly listed Shasha Denims also came to list with shares worth BDT 352.23 million changing hands followed by IFAD Autos BDT 336.47 million, MJL BD worth BDT 273.65 million, Square Pharma BDT 272.60 million and ONE Bank worth BDT 242.10 million changed hands.
