Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The ACME Laboratories, the country’s oldest pharmaceuticals company, received the certificate of up gradation of ISO Standard by Orion Registrar, Inc., USA, said an official disclosure on Sunday.
“The company received the certificate of up gradation from 9001:2008 to 9001:2015 version after a thorough audit of all relevant departments of Plant, Head office and Depots by Orion Registrar, Inc., USA,” said the statement posted on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Sunday.
As per certificate of certification used by the Orion Registrar Inc., USA, the quality management system is applicable to marketing, human resources and supply chain etc. of Human and Veterinary Pharmaceuticals Products of the Company, the statement said.
The statement noted that the ACME Laboratories is the first certified company of Orion Registrar Inc., USA that has successfully upgraded its existing ISO certification under 9001:2015 among the pharmaceuticals companies in Bangladesh.
The country’s oldest pharmaceuticals company’s share closed at BDT 120 each on Sunday at DSE, remaining unchanged over the previous trading session.
Meanwhile, the board of directors of the ACME recommended 35 percent cash dividend for the year ended on June 30, 2016.
ACME Laboratories has also reported first quarter (Q1) earnings per share (EPS) of BDT 1.82 for January-March period of 2017 as against BDT 1.55 for the same period a year ago.
