Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Airtel Bangladesh Limited, one of the operations of Bharti Airtel, has announced its partnership with Dutch-Bangla Bank mobile banking. 
With complete adherence to the Bangladesh Bank (BB) Guideline on Mobile Financial Services, the Dutch-Bangla Bank mobile banking will now be commercially available for all airtel subscribers. This is going to offer multiple services like cash in, cash out, send money, mobile top up, remittance and salary disbursement etc. 
The announcement was made at the inaugural ceremony held on the premises of Union Information Service Centre (UISC), Kanchkura, Uttarkhan in Dhaka.
The UISC is ICT enabled one-stop service outlet located at Union Parishads, where young entrepreneurs are supported by government to offer various public and private services. 
The occasion was graced by BB Governor Atiur Rahman. He formally inaugurated the service by performing a live “send money” transaction on the spot. 
Among others, Secretary from the Ministry of ICT, Mr. N.I. Khan and Chairman of Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission Maj. Gen. Zia Ahmed, PSC (Retd.) were also present in the occasion as special guests. 
The chief executive officer (CEO) and Managing Director of Airtel Bangladesh Limited Chris Tobit and CSO and Head of M Commerce Ms. Rubaba Dowla addressed the forum. 
The central bank chief in his speech congratulated the banking and telecom partners and expressed optimism that this service would go a long way in making financial transactions accessible even to the un-banked population spread across the remotest corners of Bangladesh. 
Mobile banking is a one stop solution which transforms the mobile phone into a secure and convenient wallet that enables the subscriber to obtain services such as cash deposit, cash withdrawal, foreign remittance collection, salary disbursement, scholarship and govt. allowance disbursement, Person to Person transfer and so on. 
Besides, Airtel also offers mobile top up facility using the mobile banking account. The mobile operator also promises convenience and value for money to the mass population of Bangladesh. With the commercial launch, the service shall now be available in all major districts of the country for all Airtel subscribers.
