New Delhi, India (BBN) - Sheikh Hasina, the Prime Minister of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, touched down in New Delhi on April 7 to start her 4-day visit during which the two countries are expected to sign more than 20 agreements to boost bilateral ties.
This is her first bilateral visit to India in seven years, reports oneindia.com
She last visited the country in January 2010.
MODI MEETS BANGLADESH PM SHEIKH HASINA
Modi personally received Sheikh Hasina at the airport when she arrived here on a four-day visit to India.
He travelled from his Lok Kalyan Marg residence in central Delhi to the airport some 10 km away in normal traffic.

SHEIKH HASINA SALUTES INDIANS WHO DIED IN 1971 WAR
Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on April 8 paid tributes to Indian soldiers who died in the Liberation War of 1971 that gave birth to her country.
AT THE EXHIBITION
Sheikh Hasina also visited an exhibition at the venue on the war and met veterans who had served in the war which led to the break up of then East Pakistan and the formation of an independent Bangladesh.
HASINA OFFERS PRAYERS AT AJMER DARGAH
Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina offered prayers at the shrine of Khwaja Mouinuddin Chisti in Ajmer.
The dargah committee welcomed the Bangladesh Prime Minister at Buland Darwaja.
INDIA, BANGLADESH SEAL 22 AGREEMENTS
India and Bangladesh signed 22 agreements in key sectors, including defence and civil nuclear, following delegation-level talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Bangladeshi counterpart Sheikh Hasina.
