Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Workers of different apparel factories in Kaliakoir upazila of Gazipur block Dhaka-Tangail highway since Sunday morning demanding fixing their minimum monthly salary to BDT 8,114.
The marauding workers vandalized four garment units and 20 vehicles including buses and pick-up vans on the highway in Chandra area of the upazila.
The road communications on the Dhaka-Tangail highway remain suspended since 9:30am following the demonstration, the Daily Star, a local newspaper, reported.
