Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– Bangladesh Bank (BB) Governor Dr. Atiur Rahman has urged the financial sector including banks and financial institutions to come forward for providing winter clothes and blankets among the chill stricken poor across the country.
“We’ve to ensure that no street child with a bank account suffers from lack of winter clothes,” BB Governor Dr.Rahman said in a statement on Friday.
The central bank chief also appealed to the wealthy people of the society and corporate entities to stand beside the chill stricken poor as part of their CSR (corporate social responsibility) activities.
It is expected under the CSR like preceding years, this year also the banks and non-banking financial institutions (NBFIs) would extend their helping hands to the chill stricken poor providing winter clothes and blankets.
