Warner’s personal 178 post with Smith’s 95 and Maxwell’s 88 propelled Australia to break India’s record of highest World Cup score of 413.
In the beginning of the match, Afghanistan’s Dawlat Zadran removed Australia’s AJ Finch when he scored only four runs.
Earlier, Afghanistan won the toss and elected to field first.
