BAF fighter aircraft crashes in Bangladesh, pilot missing

Chittagong, Bangladesh (BBN)-A fighter aircraft of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) crashed in the Bay of Bengal of Chittagong, the major coastal seaport city of Bangladesh, Monday morning.
Though, the aircraft F-7 was spotted, but, Pilot Flight Lieutenant Tahmid remained missing.
Members from the Coast Guards, Air Force, Navy and Chittagong Port authorities are conducting a joint rescue operation.
Media reports said that the coast guards identified three parts of the aircraft.
Tahmid flew with the aircraft from Shah Amanat International Airport around 10:30am and the plane crashed after 40 minutes some six nautical miles off the coast at Patenga in Bay of Bengal, local sources said.
The reason behind the crash was not known immediately.
