Manama, Bahrain (BBN)-Bahrain Labour Ministry's Assistant Undersecretary Dr Mohammed Ali Al Ansari met a delegation from the Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment (MEWOE) of Bangladesh to promote bilateral relations in the labour and human resources fields.

They in the meeting which held in Manama on Monday explored ways to consolidate cooperation in various fields, including the labour sector, and benefiting from the successful experience in specialised technical training, rehabilitation of human cadres, reports Bahrain News Agency.

Both the delegation also discussed ways to incorporate their experience into the labour market as well as developing the labour market's regulations and laws in the two countries in accordance with the national legislation and the international labour standards in order to preserve the acquired rights of workers.

Al Ansari informed the delegation on the recruitment programmes and plans in Bahrain and their success to maintain unemployment rates within the average limits, as well as Bahrain's commitment to the protection of workers and providing a safe environment for them.

Mohammed Nurul Islam, director of MEWOE led Bangladesh team in the meeting.
