Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– The 92nd birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was celebrated across the country in a befitting manner on Saturday.
As the day was celebrated as the National Children’s Day, cultural programs, including drawing, extempore speech and essay writing competitions for school children, were arranged by districts administration, managing committees of different educational institutions and socio-political organizations across the country.
The portraits of Bangabandhu were garlanded and rally, milad mahfil, prayers, photo- exhibitions on life and works of Bangabandhu were also arranged in different districts. In some places birthday cakes were also cut by the admirers.
The historic speech of Bangabandhu on March 7, 1971 was played at different places of the district towns in Bangladesh.
