Chittagong, Bangladesh (BBN)- A two-day program, "Bangla Wikipedia Unconference 2012", for the first time, began at Independent University Bangladesh, (IUB) in the country’s port city on Friday.
Chittagong City Corporation Mayor Mohammad Manjur Alam inaugurated the program jointly organized by IUB, Wikimedia, and Bangladesh Open Source Network (BDOSN).
The unconference campaigns on the slogan "Aamar bhashay tule dhari, aamar bhalo lagar sab kichhu" (let's present whatever we like in our own language).
With the aim to highlight the history and culture of Bangladesh in Bangla, it is featuring quiz competition, open discussion, workshop, open seminar, and film show.
State Minister for Science and Technology Yeafesh Osman and noted author Prof Muhammad Zafar Iqbal are scheduled to attend the program on Saturday.
