Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The 14 members squad of Bangladesh for the upcoming one-off Test match against India has finally been announced by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Wednesday afternoon.
The Tigers play the solitary Test against their neighbouring rivals Team India on Wednesday, June 10.
As of announcement of the tournament by BCCI & BCB, the captain of Bangladesh Test team is confirmed to be Mushfiqur Rahim, reports the bdcricteam.com.
However, Rahim, who in the recent past had triple roles in the team – captain, batsman and wicketkeeper , may not keep wicket during the one-off cricket Test against India starting next week as he is yet to fully recover from a finger injury. Litton Das, the young talented wicketkeeper-batsman, has once again been called up in the squad and has a bright chance ahead to debut in the Test against India to take over the gloves in place of Rahim.
Apart from this, the Tigers squad has not seen much change from their last Test venture against Pakistan that ended last month. All Mohammad Shahid, Abul Hasan, Shuvagata Hom and Jubair Hossain Likhon retained their place in the squad.
The only major change in the squad is the return of Rubel Hossain who missed the last Test against Pakistan due to injury while Shahadat Hossain is predictably left out of the team, who was not even in the preliminary squad after sustaining a knee injury in the last Test against Pakistan.
