Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Monday announced a 25-member preliminary squad of Bangladesh National Cricket team for the tour of Sri Lanka beginning end of this month.
During the month-long tour, the Bengal Tigers will play two test matches, three ODIs and one T20 match against hosts Sri Lanka.
Besides, Bangladesh team will also play a three-day warm up match against Sri Lanka Development Emerging team on March 3-5 at the Uyanwatta Stadium in Matara.
The visiting Bangladesh team will start their official campaign in Sri Lanka taking on the home side in the first of the two match Test series beginning on March 8 at the Galle International Stadium.
Bangladesh Preliminary Squad: Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah, Tamim Iqbal, Shakib Al Hasan, Nasir Hossain, Mohammad Elias, Ziaur Rahman, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Abul Hasan, Jahurul Islam, Shafiul Islam, Enamul Haque Bijoy, Abdur Razzak, Rubel Hossain, Mominul Hoque, Shahriar Nafees, Shahadat Hossain, Nazmul Hossain, Robiul Islam, Sohag Gazi, Naeem Islam, Enamul Haque jnr, Shamsur Rahman, Sabbir Rahaman and Marshall Ayub.
The cricketers named in the preliminary squad, who are not involved in the final of Bangladesh Cricket League (Longer Version), have been asked to report to head coach of National Team Shane Jurgensen at the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at 9:00 am on Wednesday.
