Bangladesh Bank provides BDT 102.69bn liquidity support to banks

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The Bangladesh Bank (BB) provided more than BDT 102.69 billion liquidity support to the banks on Thursday, the last working day before the Eid-ul-Azha festival.
Thirty three primary dealer (PD) and non-PD banks of 6-day tenor amounting total of BDT 102.6949 billion were provided as Liquidity Support Facility.
The rate of interest of the Liquidity Support Facility was 7.25 percent, the BB said in a statement.
Earlier on Wednesday last, the BB provided funds worth BDT 85.98 billion through the same mechanism to keep the country’s money market stable before the Eid and Puja festivals.
