Bangladesh Bank withdraws BDT 5.79 billion from market

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The central bank of Bangladesh withdrawn BDT 5.7910 billion through issuing its 30-day bills and reverse REPO auction on Tuesday, officials said.
 

Five bids amounting total of BDT 5.4410 billion were offered and all bids were accepted for the BB’s 30-day bills.
 

The rate of weighted average yield of the accepted bid was 6.80 percent, according to the auction result.
 

On the other hand, one bid of 1-day tenor amounting to BDT 350 million was received and the bid was accepted.

The rate of interest of reverse Repo was 5.25 percent.
