Bangladesh bans cell-phone use in classrooms, exam halls

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The government has imposed ban on use of cell-phone in the classrooms and examination halls with a view to ensuring an education-friendly atmosphere.
The Education Ministry issued a circular in this connection on Monday.
According to the circular, it is alleged that teachers are using mobile phone in the classrooms and examination halls. The use of cell-phone not only hampers the work of providing lessons in the classroom but also hampers the attention of examinees in the examination halls. 
The respective institutions will take necessary action so that the teachers and students follow the circular, the circular added.
