Bangladesh business leader elected SAARC Chamber director

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - SM Nurul Hoque, former senior vice-president of Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), has been elected as the director of SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) for the term 2012-2013.

SAARC CCI is the apex chamber of the national chambers of eight South Asian countries, including Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Maldives, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Its present executive committee is working under the theme “South Asia on Move: Building Bridge through economic cooperation”, a press statement said.

Currently, Mr. Hoque is the director of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) and the vice-president of Bangladesh-Myanmar Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
