Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The government has established a separate ministry for the railway sector.
The Railway Division, which was under the Ministry of Communications, has been upgraded to ‘Ministry of Railway’, an official announcement said on Sunday.
It is not yet clear who is going to take over the charge of the new ministry.
On November 28, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expanded her cabinet by inducting into it two party stalwarts, Suranjit Sengupta and Obaidul Quader, as full ministers.
State Minister for Environment and Forests Hasan Mahmud has also been elevated to a full minister.
The new ministers are yet get the portfolios.
