Bangladesh govt borrows BDT 12bn issuing T-bills

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The Bangladesh government borrowed BDT 12 billion on Sunday issuing its treasury bills (T-bills) to finance budget deficit partly, officials said.
A total of 32 bids of BDT 31.7996 billion for 91-Day T-bills and 39 bids of BDT 28.1110 billion for 182-Day T-bills were offered.
Of those, three bids of BDT 7.0 billion for 91-Day T-bills and seven bids of BDT 5.0 billion for 182-Day T-bills were accepted.
The range of the implicit yield of the accepted bid was 5.27-5.28 per cent and 5.58-5.69 per cent respectively, according to the auction result.
