Bangladesh grateful to India for contribution in liberation war: FM

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Foreign Minister Dipu Moni said Bangladesh would remain ever grateful to India for its contribution to the War of Liberation in 1971.
She stated this when the visiting Indian State Minister for Defence Mangapati Pallam Raju paid a courtesy call on her at Ruposhi Bangla Hotel in the capital Dhaka on Monday. 
Dr. Dipu Moni thanked Mr. Raju for coming to Bangladesh to participate in the program being organized to honour the friends of Bangladesh for contribution in the Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971, according to a foreign ministry press statement.
The Indian minister appreciated the Bangladesh government for paying tribute to the foreign friends who played critical role towards the attainment of statehood by Bangladesh.
They expressed satisfaction at this existing excellent relation between Bangladesh and India and they discussed various issues of mutual interest. 
They observed that there is tremendous opportunity for further cooperation between the two countries.
