Galle, Sri Lanka (BBN) – The two match test series between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will start tomorrow at the Galle International Stadium.

Bangladesh played a two day practice match against Sri Lanka Board President XI which ended in draw, reports tigercricket.com.bd.

Tamim Iqbal scored a hundred while Mominul Haque & Liton Das scored fifties.

Taskin Ahmed & Mustafizur Rahman were the two bowlers from Bangladesh showing some promise by picking up a few wickets.

Bangladesh match will start at 9:30am (BST).

Bangladesh have a pleasant memory at this ground They played here first time 4 years back which was a memorable draw for the visitors.

Mushfiqur Rahim scored the first ever double hundred by a Bangladeshi batsman and made a record 267 run partnership with Mohammad Ashraful, who was just short of his double hundred.

Bangladesh posted a mammoth 638 in the first innings in reply of Sri Lanka’s 570 runs. Mushfiqur Rahim was adjusted as the man of the match for his fine 200 runs.

Sri Lanka will play without their regular captain Angelo Mathews who forced out of the series due to hamstring injury.

Veteran spinner Rangana Herath will lead the young Sri Lankan side.

Bangladesh will welcome the pace sensation Mustafizur Rahman who will return to the test cricket after almost 2 years.

Bangladesh would like to revamp their test form after a disappointing tour at New Zealand & only test against India in India.
