Bangladesh launches telephone helpline for repressed children

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The Bangladesh government has introduced a T&T telephone helpline to ensure safety of repressed children, an official has said.

The repressed children would be able to ensure their safety by making calls at 1098 anytime.

This was disclosed by deputy secretary of Department of Social Services M Omar Faruk at a workshop in the capital Dhaka.

The two-day workshop ended at Savar CCDB Hope Centre on Thursday. Management and Resource Development Centre organized the workshop for journalists of print and electronic media.
