Bangladesh plans to set up Telecom University

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The government has a plan to set up a telecom university in the country as a part of its goal to build a digitalized society, Post and Telecommunications Minister Rajiuddin Ahmed Raju said

“We’ve a plan to set up a telecom university in future,” the minister said while addressing the inaugural ceremony of a representatives’ conference of diploma engineers in the capital Dhaka on Friday.

Mr. Raju also said that the telecommunications ministry would soon start selling locally produced laptop at BDT 10,000. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to inaugurate the launch of this cheap laptop on October 11.
