Chittagong, Bangladesh (BBN)– All rounder Shakib Al Hasan scored brilliant ton in his comeback match after disciplinary ban, lifting
Bangladesh to a 281 for 7 from allotted 50 overs against visiting Zimbabwe in  the first ODI of the Bashundhara Cement five-match ODI series now being held  at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in the port city on Friday.

Put to bat first, Bangladesh faced early batting jolt losing their four
top orders in the 70 runs of the scorecard. Then ace all rounder along with  skipper Mushfiqur Rahmin took the responsibility to stop the rot contributing  148 runs for the 5th wicket stand to take the team’s total to a comfortable  position, according to reports.

The left handed batsman Shakib, who hit his career sixth ODI hundred,
played an impressive knock of 101 runs, with the help of 10 boundaries during his 95-ball stay on the crease. He received an ample support from fellow Mushfiqur Rahim who also scored his 17th ODI fifty off 59 balls cracking two over boundaries and two boundaries.

Later, debutant Sabbir Rahman made an unbeaten quick fire that helped the Tigers to set up a challenging total in front of Zimbabwe.

The right handed batsman Sabbir, hailed from Rajshahi, played an
entertaining knock of 25-ball of 44 runs smacking three towering over
boundaries and three boundaries cheering the local crowds in the big bowl.

All rounder Tinashe Panyangara was the pick of Zimbabwe bowler taking three wickets for 66 runs. He was well supported by pacer Tendai Chatara, who claimed two wickets giving away 48 runs.
