Bangladesh prime minister hails Suu Kyi’s release

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina has congratulated the release of Burma’s pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi.

In a message of felicitation, she said Suu Kyi’s long struggle for democracy will be inspiring democracy and peace-loving people in country to country from years to years.

Sheikh Hasina said Suu Kyi had to suffer huge repression and oppression for her uncompromising personalities to establish democratic rights of the people of Myanmar.

“Her sacrifice for democracy will act as immense source of inspiration for all democracy-loving people,” she added.

The prime minister also wished Suu Kyi’s good health and long life.
