Bangladesh re-elected as ITU council member

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh has been re-elected as the council member of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) Monday.
Bangladesh bagged a total of 115 votes in the poll, held in Bushan of South Korea today, media reports said.
The membership will remain for next four years and Bangladesh is now representing the ITU’s Executive Council for Asia and Australia regions.
Out of a total 193 ITU member states, 167 voted for electing the 48-member council.
Bangladesh has won its executive membership in 2010.
