Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Bangladesh has already submitted a request letter to the International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC) seeking membership.
“The terms of accession of that important cotton importer had been agreed and Bangladesh was taking the internal measures to finalize its inclusion among the members of the ICAC,” the Washington-based trade promotion organization said in a statement on Thursday.
The statement was issued after concluding its 75th Plenary Meeting, held at Islamabad of Pakistan from October 30 to November 4.
The meeting was attended by 378 persons, including representatives from 14 Members, 4 international organizations and 4 nonmember countries.
The next meeting will be held in Uzbekistan.
