Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The Bangladesh government has set new office hours for the month of Ramadan, a fasting month for Muslims.
Based on lunar calendar, the holy month of Ramadan is supposed to begin from June.
All government, semi-government and autonomous offices are to remain open from 9:00am to 3:30pm with 15 minutes prayers break from 1:15pm.
The decision was taken at a regular cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday.
Cabinet Secretary M Shafiul Alam informed journalists about the decision after the meeting.
