Bangladesh Speaker to attend Modi’s swearing-in ceremony

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh Parliament Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury will represent the country at the swearing-in ceremony of India's prime minister-elect Narendra Modi in Delhi.

Modi who secured landslide victory in the Indian Lok Sabha election is scheduled to take oath on May 26.

India earlier invited Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina or her designated representative to attend the ceremony at Modi's request.
