Bangladesh joins searching operation for MH-370

Last updated: March 15, 2014

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Bangladesh has deployed two patrol aircrafts and two navy frigates on Saturday to help  the on-going  search for the missing Malaysian aircraft MH-370(Boeing-777).

This follows the instruction of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to help locate the aircraft and carry out the search in the suspected areas of the Bay of Bengal, a foreign ministry statement said in Dhaka.

It may be mentioned here that the Malaysian aircraft (MH-370) went on missing on 8 March, 2014 with 239 passengers from 14 countries.
It is believed that the aircraft might have been forced to divert its course towards the Indian Ocean or the Bay of Bengal as hectic search in the South China Sea failed to locate it.
