Bangladesh stock markets open with positive mode

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– Bangladesh stock markets opened with positive move for the second consecutive day on Thursday, market operators said.

The benchmark Dhaka Stock General Exchange Index (DGEN) increased by 93.52 points or 1.54 percent and stood at 6252.80 till filing of the reports at about 11:30 am (local time).

A total of 229 issues were traded during the period on the day. Of them 221 advanced, 15 declined while three remained unchanged.

Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also saw the rising trend on the same day as the Selective Categories Index (CSCX) increased 158.35 points or 1.36 percent and stood at 11327.25 points.
