Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks continued its upward trend after witnessing early hour on Tuesday, the third trading session of the week.
Both the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the prime bourse of Bangladesh, and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), the port city bourse of the country, opened with a positive note when the market opened at 10:30am and sustained the positive trend at midday.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) advanced 20.80 points while the port city bourse, selective category index of Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) earned 51.96 points around 12:30pm.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 20.80 points or 0.46 per cent to reach at 4,488.41 points, when the report was filed at 12:32pm.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, advanced 8.65 points or 0.50 per cent to stand at 1721.13 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) also gained 6.43 points or 0.59 per cent to reach at 1,091.85points.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 2.34 billion when the report was filed at 12:32pm.
Of the issues traded till then, 204 advanced, 58 declined and 37 issues remained unchanged.
LankaBangla Finance was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 196 million changing hands followed by Orion Infusion Ltd, AFC Agro Biotech Ltd, Aman Feed, Orion Pharma Ltd and Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Ltd.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse – the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also saw positive trend with its Selective Category Index- CSCX– gaining 51.96 points to stand at 8,429.44 points, also at 12:26pm.
Of the issues traded till then, 133 gained, 39 declined 25 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 148 million.
