Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stock prices fell slightly on Thursday as investor offloaded their possessions for profits after a three-day bull run, market operators said.

The benchmark DSE General Index (DGEN) lost 0.27 percent or 20.63 points to close at 7,492.82, scaling down from previous session’s new high of 7,513.45.

The broader All Shares Price Index (DSI) was down by 0.20 percent or 12.93 points to 6,230.22. The DSE-20 Index comprising blue chips shed 0.19 percent or 8.68 points to 4,420.46.

On the other hand, Chittagong Stock Exchange’s selective categories index decreased by 51.00 points, or 0.36 percent, to finish at 14,067.94 points on the day.

Out of 241 issues traded, 107 ended in the positive territory, 131 negative and three remained unchanged in the DSE. Turnover was BDT 19.75 billion, down 2.81 percent over the previous session.

Of the total 184 issues traded on the floor of the CSE, 109 declined, 72 advanced, and three remained unchanged. Turnover at the CSE stood at BDT 1.828 billion, up by BDT 63.70 million from the previous working day.

The trading at the bourses will remain closed for three days as Sunday will be a public holiday for Durga Puja.
