Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks witnessed positive at midday on Thursday, the last trading session of the week.
Both the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the prime bourse of Bangladesh, and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), the port city bourse of the country, opened with a mixed note when the market opened at 10:30am.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) gained 5.57 points while the port city bourse, selective catagoty index of Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) earned 1.10 points when the report was filled around over 12:30pm.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 5.57 points or 0.12 per cent to at 4,585.099 points, when the report was filed at 12:38pm.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, advanced 5.69 points or 0.32 per cent to stand at 1,763.45 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) also gains 0.78 points or 0.07 per cent to reach at 1,120.86 points.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 2.14 billion when the report was filed at 12:38pm.
Of the issues traded till then, 138 advanced, 108 declined and 62 issues remained unchanged.
LankaBangla Finance was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 379 million changing hands followed by Quasem Drycells, Tallu Spinning, Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd, Shasha Denims Limited and Singer Bangladesh.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse – the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also saw positive trend with its Selective Category Index- CSCX – advancing 1.11 points to stand at 8,610.10 points, also at 12:32pm.
Of the issues traded till then, 82 gained, 78 declined and 36 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 143 million.
