Bangladesh Taka remains unchanged against US$

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The exchange rate of Bangladesh Taka (BDT) against the US dollar remained unchanged on Monday in inter-bank foreign exchange (forex) market.
The US dollar was quoted at BDT 78.48-BDT 78.47 against BDT 78.48 of the previous level.
“The BDT has been able to keep its position almost unchanged against the US currency mainly due to lower demand for the greenback in the market,” a senior treasury official of a commercial bank told the BBN over phone.
However, the exchange rate of the US dollar at customer level rose to BDT 79.1237 on Sunday from BDT 79.0577of the previous working day.
