Last updated: January 5, 2017

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The exchange rate of Bangladesh Taka (BDT) against the US dollar remained unchanged during the evening trading Thursday in inter-bank foreign exchange (forex) market.
The US currency opened in the range of BDT 78.70 unchanged from the last six working days.
The rate remained same since December 29.
“The exchange rate of the local currency against the US dollar remained same as the import payment obligations decreased,” a senior treasury official of a leading commercial bank told the BBN in Dhaka Thursday evening.
“The trend may continue in the upcoming days,” the treasury official added.
