Bangladesh Taka remains unchanged against $US

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The exchange rate of Bangladesh Taka (BDT) remained unchanged against the US currency in evening transactions on Tuesday in inter-bank foreign exchange (forex) market.
The US dollar was quoted at maximum BDT 80.60 during the evening trading.
In the early transactions today, the American currency was quoted BDT 80.59-BDT 80.60.
On Monday, Bangladesh currency was quoted at maximum BDT 80.59-BDT 80.60 that means same as today’s opening.
“The exchange rate of local currency remained almost unchanged following lower import payment obligations,” a senior treasury official of a leading private commercial bank told the BBN in Dhaka Tuesday evening.
On Sunday, Bangladesh was quoted at maximum BDT 80.59-BDT 80.60 and on Thursday it was the same.
Bangladesh foreign exchange market remained closed on Friday and Saturday as those were weekend in the country.
