Bangladesh Taka remains unchanged against US dollar

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The exchange rate of Bangladesh Taka (BDT) against the US dollar remained unchanged at the evening transactions on Tuesday in inter-bank foreign exchange (forex) market.
The US dollar was quoted at maximum BDT 79.70 unchanged from the opening transaction.
On Monday, the greenback was also quoted at maximum BDT 79.70.
“The demand of the US dollar was eased today as the central bank had sold US$25 million to Sonali Bank Limited directly on Monday to meet the growing demand for the greenback,” a senior treasury official of a leading commercial bank to the BBN Tuesday evening.
On Sunday, the US dollar was quoted at maximum BDT 79.68.
On the last working day of the last week, the US dollar was quoted at maximum BDT 79.67- BDT 79.68 during the evening trading.
