Bangladesh Taka remains unchanged against greenback

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The exchange rate of Bangladesh Taka (BDT) remained unchanged against the US currency in evening transactions on Sunday in inter-bank foreign exchange (forex) market.
The US dollar was quoted at maximum BDT 80.64 during the evening trading.
In opening transactions today, the American currency was quoted as same the evening trading that means BDT 80.64.
“The exchange rate of local currency remained unchanged as Sunday is weekend in the international market,” a senior treasury official of a leading private commercial bank told the BBN in Dhaka Sunday evening.
On Thursday that means in the last working day of the last week, the American currency was quoted maximum at 80.64 unchanged from the previous working level.
In the opening trading Wednesday, the exchange rate of the greenback was quoted at maximum BDT 80.64, gaining two paisa more from the previous working level.
On Tuesday, the American dollar was quoted at maximum BDT 80.62 against BDT 80.60 that means it gained two paisa more from the previous working level.
From the July 4 to 10, the local currency was quoted at maximum BDT 80.60.
Bangladesh foreign exchange market remained closed on Friday and Saturday as those were weekend in the country.
