Bangladesh thrash Pakistan by 7 wkts

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-After Banglawashing Pakistan in the three-match ODI series, Bangladesh continued their winning trend and thrashed their senior subcontinent rivals by seven wickets in the lone T20 match in Mirpur of Dhaka on Friday.
This is the Tigers’ first T20 victory over Pakistan.
Riding on Shakib and Sabbir’s half century stands, the Tigers reached the 142-run target in 16.2 overs which Pakistan earned in 20 overs.
Of the score, Shakib contributed 57 while Sabbir 51.
The T20 half century feat was maiden for Sabbir while fifth for Shakib.
With this triumph, Bangladesh achieved their 12th T20 victory in 42 matches.
Immediately after the victory, Bangladesh President Abdul Hamid, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, Leader of Opposition in Parliament Rawshan Ershad and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia congratulated the Tigers.
The cricket-loving PM was in the stadium to encourage the Tigers to their victory.
Earlier, Sarkar was removed for zero, Tamim for 14 while Mushfiq for 19.
In the first innings, Enthusiastic Bangladesh managed to limit Pakistan at 141 runs taking 5 wickets at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.
Prior to beginning of the match, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first.
Earlier, Bangladesh’s Mustafizur Rahman and Soumya Sarkar and Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan and Mukhtar Ahmed have given nod the playing today’s T20 match.
