The government and the people of Bangladesh are deeply concerned over the devastating flood that Thailand is experiencing, worse in more than 50 years.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has sent a message to her Thai counterpart Ms. Yingluck Shinawatra expressing her condolence and sympathy at the loss of lives and damages of properties caused by the on-going flood in Thailand, a foreign ministry press statement said.

As a token of friendship, Bangladesh has declared to provide relief support to the tune of US$1.0 million for the flood victims of Thailand.

Bangladesh would be most happy to extend all possible support to the friendly people of Thailand in addressing the challenge and hopes that the people of Thailand would soon be able to overcome this situation.
