Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– The hosts Bangladesh will take on visiting Zimbabwe in the opening match of the five-match Micromax ODI Cup at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on Wednesday.
The match is scheduled to start at 9:30am (local time).
All rounder Shakib Al Hasan will lead the hosts gainst Elton Chigumbura’s new look Zimbabwe, which played good cricket against South Africa very recently.
Bangladesh team :Shakib Al Hasan, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Tamim Iqbal, Imrul Kayes, Junaid Siddique, Mohammad Ashraful, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah Riyad, Abdur Razzak, Suhrawardy Shuvo and Shafiul Islam.
The second and third matches will be held at the same venue on December 3 and 6 respectively.
The teams will travel to Chittagong to play the remaining two matches scheduled for December 10 and 12 at the Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.
Earlier, the visitors lost the lone warm-up match against Bangladesh Cricket Board XI by 29-run at BKSP in Savar on Monday.
