Parveen Sultana Diti, a celebrated Bangladeshi film and television actress, losses battle with cancer, has died at United Hospital in Dhaka, capital of Bangladesh on Sunday evening.

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Popular Bangladeshi film actress Parveen Sultana Diti passed away Sunday afternoon in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.
Diti, the actress of 90's, breathed her last around 4:00pm at the United Hospital.
Diti was diagnosed with brain cancer on July 25 in 2015.
She left behind daughter Lamia Chowdhury, son, Shafayet Chowdhury, a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn her death.

Diti was treated in Madras Institute of Orthopaedics and Traumatology in Chennai of India.
She won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in 1987 for her performance in Shami Stri.
Her popular films inclued: Hiramoti, Dui Jibon, Bhai Bondhu, Usila, Lady Ispector, Khuner Badla, Ajker Hungama, Shesh Upohar, Chorom Aghat, Shami Stri, Aporadhi, Kaliya, Kaal Sokale, Megher Kole Rod, Akash Choya Bhalobasha and Mayamoy.
