Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – M/s. Moonstar Fashion Limited, a Bangladeshi company, will invest US$ 20.20 million to establish a readymade garments industry in Mongla Export Processing Zone of Bangladesh.
This local venture will produce annually 30.66 million pieces Under Wear, 7.55 million pieces Boxer Short, 15.10 million pieces Intimate Garments and 11.33 million pieces Swimming and Active Wear. 2832 Bangladeshi nationals will get employment opportunity in this factory.
An agreement to this effect has signed between Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority and M/s. Moonstar Fashion Limited at BEPZA Complex in the capital Dhaka on Wednesday.
Sayed Nurul Islam, Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA and S.M. Amzad Hossain, Managing Director of M/s. Moonstar Fashion Limited signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
Major General Mohd. Habibur Rahman Khan, ndc, psc, Executive Chairman, Abdur Rahman, Member (Engineering), AZM Azizur Rahman Member (Finance), Shawkat Nabi, Secretary, Nazma Binte Alamgir, General Manager (Public Relations) and Nurul Haque General Manager (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA were present at the signing ceremony.
